Interview with Prohriday

On March 20th, 2022, AnimalBot99 got a chance to talk with Prohriday!

Animal: Hello Pro, why don’t we begin with what do you do on Roblox?

Pro: Hey! I am a 3d modeler, builder and graphics artist. Along with developing, I also enjoy playing games like Arsenal and Jailbreak on Roblox.

Animal: So I think I am correct when I say you still have commissions open for your modeling and GFX designs, how’s that going?

Pro: They’re going pretty well! A bit slow due to offline school and classes, but doing good overall.

Animal: I believe that another thing you might’ve left out was the work you do for AceDevArnav with his events.

Pro: I also assist Arnav as a speaker in his events. Along with that I help him in managing his community and I also help in stuff like UGCs, games etc linked with Ace events.

Animal: What do you consider your “full time” work when it’s between development and helping with events?

Pro: I don’t really have a full time job but I do spend more time developing as compared to helping with events. The events are more of a favor as Arnav and I started as developing partners a year ago and the events are a way of helping me build up experience as I plan to be an event organizer once I hit the age limit as well.

Animal: So aiming to become event organizer is the reason you got into development or did it just gradually change to that?

Pro: Well, event organizing was never really a goal for me. I just started developing on roblox as a hobby and due to a lot of free time during the covid pandemic.

Animal: If there was no pandemic (oh what a happy life), would you still be in the development field or would you be doing something totally different?

Pro: I would still be in the development field but I would not be as active as I was during the pandemic. Other than that I would be working more with UI and UX and would be focusing more on school and robotics.

Animal: Robotics, that’s pretty cool; are you going to be trying to get a degree in that field later on in life when you get to highschool/college level?

Pro: Well, yea, i always have enjoyed working in the software field. I started robotics when I was about 11 or 12 and am now learning about Arduino. In the future I plan to learn about drones and humanoids and for my highschool/ college I plan to pursue the same field or something similar to it.

Animal: I wish you the best of luck with that! I’m not sure if you keep on top of all UGC events but have you seen or heard of the Egg Hunt 2022 Lost in Time event?

Pro: Yep! I did try it out for myself about a few days ago and was really impressed by how well the game was made. It's amazing how good the community games are. I haven't really played any roblox egg hunts so this was really a good game to start off and get a feel of the Roblox egg hunts after they stopped.

Animal: Do you think that more developers should try to create events of their own?

Pro: Yep! If any developer is thinking of doing so, i would love to see them make it and would even try to assist them if they need help in any fields i work in

Animal: Have you seen Roblox’s latest post on audio updates? It’s been a real hot topic in the community, accumulating like 4,000 posts about it; what is your opinion on it?

Pro: I have not really been on top of the news with the new audio updates Roblox did recently but I did hear that there is a lot of drama in the developer community regarding it so I hope that gets resolved soon.

Animal: I think a lot of it has to do with Roblox not clearly stating stuff, which happens from time to time from the best of us. Any future updates/development projects you’re looking forward to?

Pro: I am working on a game with Croatian4k and AceDevArnav which will be releasing soon. It will be my first actual game so I am really excited for it to be released and the community to try it out. I am also working as a part time modeler in a few studios which will have their games be released in the next 1-2 months or so. Along with this I am also working on some UGC items which may or may not be on the catalog soon 👀

Animal: So how about some random rapid question time: What is one of your favorite UGC items on the catalog?

Pro: Well i would have to go with the Pro sword which had been uploaded in my group(had to be taken down due to some issues but will have a new one pretty soon). I actually had the idea of the sword about a year ago but never had the chance to get it uploaded until recently.

Animal: Well guess I am a lucky buyer for buying it right when it was announced, but guess I can’t wear it. If you could only play one Roblox game, which one would it be?

Pro: That's a tough question, i would have to go with either arsenal or jailbreak but most probably jailbreak as that is the game i originally started off roblox with and i have some really good memories of me and my friends in the game.

Animal: If you could only do one thing (develop, model, GFX, events), which one would you choose?

Pro: Honestly, I would have to go with modeling as it has a scope not only on roblox but many other platforms as well. I use blender for modeling and blender offers a lot more than modeling services so if i do end up getting bored of modeling, i could explore and learn about the new features they provide.

Animal: Any advice for any aspiring developers out there?

Pro: For all the developers out there, whichever field you work in, do your work with passion and fun. Treat developing as a hobby to enjoy it more and that will give you the best results. Try to perfect yourself in one field and once you are satisfied with what you can do, move onto the next one. Eventually you will see yourselves doing pretty well and achieving wonders on the platform.
